QUESTION &
ANSWER
Q: Can we try-out the team before
committing to registration, fees,etc.
?
A: Yes, we recommend all swimmers
attend 2-3 practices prior to joining the team (excluding
pre-team).
Q: How often is my child
required to attend practice?
A: We do not have practice
requirements for most of our programs although we do suggest 3-5
sessions per week for most of our age-group
swimmers.
Q: Do we have to compete in
swim meets?
A: No, we don’t
require competition, but suggest it! We find that kids learn
to want to compete on their own accord.
Q: Are team suits and caps
required?
A: Although, we suggest most
girls should wear caps to keep their hair out of their face while
swimming we do not have requirements, we do have a team suit and
you will be able to order them directly from the website,
but not required to have.
Q: How much is this going to
cost?
A: We have a yearly
registration and insurance fee that may range from $40-$80
depending on which group your child participates in. Each
training group has separate fee’s you may find those
fee’s in the registration packet above. All swim meets
have entry fee’s which can range from $10-$30 per
meet.
Q: How do we know when our
swimmers are progressing?
A: Obviously if your child
is competing in swim meets you will see decreases in their
times. You may ask for feed-back from their coach either
through email or finding them on the pool deck before of after
practice. Please do not disturb coaches during practice as
their full attention shall be directed to the
swimmers.
Q: What is so great about
ASG?
A: ASG has a huge
history of developing great athletes from Age-Group swimmers to
Olympic Trial Qualifiers and National Team members, but most
importantly athletes at ASG learn to become responsible for their
own progression in the sport. Learning is achieved through
guidance and freedom to progress on their own wants and needs,
this creates a great work ethic, great athletes and very
unique personalities
